Kristina Yordanova is leading the newly founded Institute for Data Science. Her research interests include artificial intelligence, data science, and natural language processing with applications in assistive systems, behaviour analysis and understanding.

Short CV

Kristina Yordanova received her appointment as a full professor in Data Science at the University of Greifswald in September 2022.  Before joining the University of Greifswald, from 2019 to 2022 Kristina was leading the junior research group CoMSA²t  and from 2016 to 2019 she was leading the DFG Project Text2HBM both at the University of Rostock. She received her bachelor degree in Computer Engineering in 2008 at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, a master degree in Artificial Intelligence in 2009 at the Maastricht University, The Netherlands, and her PhD in Ubiquitous Computing in 2014 at the University of Rostock, Germany.
