The University of Greifswald and University Medicine Greifswald have officially launched the Center for Data and AI Research (CEDAR). The new centre connects researchers across disciplines to advance collaborative AI and data research and to strengthen the transfer of scientific knowledge into society, industry, and healthcare.
We are proud that Prof. Dr. Kristina Yordanova is among CEDAR’s founding members. Through the centre, she will help foster interdisciplinary research and new collaborations at the intersection of data science, artificial intelligence, and digital health.
The launch was marked by an opening ceremony with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania’s Minister for Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs, Bettina Martin. CEDAR forms part of the University of Greifswald’s broader commitment to AI research and education, including a planned bachelor’s programme in Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence from the winter semester 2027/28.
