Sumaiya Suravee successfully defended her dissertation, entitled 'Semantic Knowledge Extraction and Interactive Support in the Domain of Dementia'. The dissertation addresses the lack of formalised knowledge, annotated resources, and custom models required to build reliable, intelligent solutions to support informal caregivers of people with dementia. Sumaiya is also the first PhD candidate to complete their PhD at our Institute of Data Science, and we are all very proud of her!
